Felix de lynx is een vreselijke pechvogel. Alles wat mis kan gaan, gaat bij hem ook mis. Tot overmaat van ramp worden hij en zijn soortgenoten ook nog eens met uitsterven bedreigd! Wanneer Felix na het zoveelste ongeluk weer eens in het opvanghuis voor gewonde dieren belandt, worden tot zijn grote schrik alle dieren ontvoerd door de gemene jager Newman. Felix en zijn vrienden Gijs de kameleon, Betsy de geit, Astarte de havik en Rindert de mol weten te ontsnappen, en zetten een grote reddingsactie op touw. Zal het ze lukken hun vriendjes uit de klauwen van Newman te redden?
