All That Money Can Buy (1941)
Boer Jabez Stone, die op het punt staat zijn land te verliezen, stemt ermee in zijn ziel te verkopen aan de duivel, bekend als Mr. Scratch, die Jabez zeven jaar de tijd geeft om van de vruchten van zijn verkoop te genieten voordat hij het int. In die tijd betaalt Jabez zijn schulden af en helpt hij veel boeren uit de buurt, waarna hij een pleitbezorger wordt voor de oprechte senator Daniel Webster. Wanneer Jabez' contract met Mr. Scratch afloopt, wendt hij zich wanhopig tot Webster om hem te vertegenwoordigen in een proces voor zijn ziel.
