The Devil Thumbs a Ride (1947)
Steve Morgan vermoordt een man tijdens een overval en lift met Fergie mee naar Los Angeles. Bij een benzinestation pikken ze twee vrouwen op. Morgan stuit op een wegversperring en haalt het gezelschap over om de nacht door te brengen in een leegstaand strandhuis. De politie komt één voor één dichterbij, de anderen ontdekken dat Morgan een moordenaar is.
