Biografie over het leven van generaal Douglas MacArthur, die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog met controversiële maar effectieve tactieken tegen Japan vocht. Later kreeg hij conflicten met president Truman over de uitvoering van de Korea-oorlog, wat uiteindelijk tot ontslag van MacArthur leidde.
