新劇場版「頭文字D」Legend2 -闘走- (2015)
De geplande film trilogie hervertelt het begin van het verhaal uit Shuichi Shigeno's originele auto-racing manga. Hogeschool student Takumi Fujiwara werkt als pompbediende gedurende de dag en een bezorger voor zijn vader's tofu winkel tijdens de late nachten. Hij weet niet dat zijn precieze rijvaardigheid en zijn vader gemodificeerde Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 van hem de beste amateur straatracer maken op Mt. Akina's snelweg. Vanwege dit feit, wagen race groepen uit alle hoeken van de Gunma prefectuur zich aan uitdagingen voor Takumi, om te zien of hij wel echt is en wat er nodig is om een weg legende te worden.
