The Long Island Incident (1998)
Op 7 december 1993 opende een schutter het vuur in een overvolle trein op Long Island. Dit op feiten gebaseerde verhaal concentreert zich op de gebeurtenissen rond Carolyn McCarthy, een vrouw wier man wordt vermoord en haar 26-jarige zoon ernstig gewond raakt tijdens het bloedbad. Het resultaat is dat ze uit haar comfortabele bestaan in de buitenwijken wordt gedwongen en een uitgesproken kruisvaarder tegen aanvalswapens wordt. De film verschuift van haar perspectief naar de geest van de moordenaar en uiteindelijk naar de media-razernij die beide omringt.
