India's Daughter (2015)
Het verhaal van het korte leven en de brute groepsverkrachting en moord in Delhi in december 2012 van een uitzonderlijke en inspirerende jonge vrouw. De verkrachting van de 23-jarige geneeskundestudente door zes mannen in een rijdende bus en haar dood leidden tot ongekende protesten en rellen in heel India en leidden tot de eerste glimpen van een mentaliteitsverandering. Verweven in de verhaallijn zijn de levens, waarden en mentaliteit van de verkrachters, tot wie de filmmakers exclusieve en ongekende toegang hebben gehad om te interviewen voordat ze ophangen. De film onderzoekt de samenleving en de waarden die tot zulke gewelddadige daden leiden, en houdt een optimistisch en hartstochtelijk pleidooi voor verandering.
