Recours en grâce (1960)
Mario was tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog soldaat in het Italiaanse leger en leidt nu samen met zijn vrouw Germaine een rustig leven. Deze laatste, verraden door haar vorige metgezel, is erg gevoelig voor leugens. Als ze hoort dat Mario een deserteur is die onder een valse identiteit leeft, verlaat ze hem onmiddellijk. Gekneusd is Mario van plan naar de autoriteiten te gaan om Germaine terug te winnen.
