A Fire in the Sky (1978)
Astronomen ontdekken een komeet waarvan ze denken dat deze zal neerstorten in Phoenix, Arizona. Ze proberen ambtenaren te waarschuwen, maar zonder 100% zekerheid is de gouverneur van Arizona terughoudend om paniek te veroorzaken. Zelfs nadat een verslaggever van het televisienieuws de waarheid ontdekt en dreigt ermee live te gaan, is de reactie ingetogen genoeg om sommige inwoners van Phoenix tot een zekere dood te veroordelen.
