Masquerade, een speurtocht in boekvorm, werd een nationale obsessie toen de Britten probeerden het mysterie ervan te ontcijferen en het gouden konijn te vinden dat Williams had begraven op een locatie die zou worden onthuld bij het oplossen van het raadsel van het boek.
