Jimi Hendrix (1973)
Deze documentaire, die kort na zijn dood werd gemaakt, verkent het korte leven en de opmerkelijke nalatenschap van gitarist Jimi Hendrix. Nadat hij bekendheid had verworven in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, bracht Hendrix zijn act terug naar de VS, waar zijn invloedrijke speelstijl een brandende indruk achterliet op een hele generatie muzikanten. Aan de hand van interviews met familie en tijdgenoten, zoals Eric Clapton, en verzengende live-optredens van Woodstock en Isle of Wight, schetst de film een onuitwisbaar portret van een rock-'n-roll-legende.
