Despite the Falling Snow (2016)
New York, 1961. Alexander Ivanov, een hooggeplaatste Sovjet-bureaucraat, loopt met tegenzin over naar het Westen terwijl hij deel uitmaakt van een diplomatieke missie. Hij voelt het verdriet dat hij het lot van zijn vrouw Katya, die hij heeft moeten achterlaten, niet kent. in Moskou. Pas vele jaren later, in 1991, komt hij eindelijk achter de waarheid als zijn nichtje Lauren naar Moskou reist om deel te nemen aan een schilderijententoonstelling.
