Tom Acton, een toegewijde familieman, heeft onvermoeibaar gewerkt om succes te bereiken. Zijn dromen spatten echter uiteen wanneer zijn tienerdochter Kathy een affaire begint met een getrouwde man. Wanneer Kathy vermoord wordt gevonden, wordt Tom de hoofdverdachte in de zaak. Terwijl hij de echte moordenaar op het spoor komt, komen lang begraven geheimen aan het licht en wordt de waarheid achter de gruwelijke moord onthuld.
