Raising Arizona (1987)
Herbert I. McDonough, in de omgang gewoon HI, en Edwina vormen een ongewoon paar. HI is een onverbeterlijke kruimeldief, Ed een voormalige agente op wie HI tijdens zijn gevangenschap verliefd werd. Maar wanneer Ed verneemt dat ze nooit kinderen zal kunnen krijgen, plant het tweetal een diefstal. Ze zullen één kindje stelen van een rijke meubelgigant, dat gezegend werd met een vijfling. De ganse ontvoering loopt echter niet van een leien dakje en het jonge stel heeft bovendien geen ervaring met baby's. En dan zijn er nog zijn ontsnapte ex-companen Gale en Evelle die op een avond aan zijn deur staan...
