Mindhorn (2016)
Richard Thorncroft is een Britse tv-acteur die in de late jaren 80 beroemd werd door zijn charismatische hoofdrol in de Isle of Man detective Mindhorn, een karakter met een robotoog die letterlijk "de waarheid" kon zien. Maar nadat hij een beetje pompeus en arrogant wordt, en zowel zijn collega's als zijn geliefde Patricia Wogan beledigd op live-tv, besluit hij naar Hollywood te vertrekken. 25 jaar later is hij een kalende man die woont in een flat in Noord-Londen en recent vervangen als het gezicht voor een orthopedische sok-advertentie. Maar dan krijgt hij onverwachts een kans om zijn carrière nieuw leven in te blazen.
