Het Saigon van 1968 vormt de chaotische achtergrond voor het mysterie rond de moord op zes prostituées. Bij het laatste slachtoffer wordt een insigne van een Amerikaanse militair aangetroffen. Twee rechercheurs van de Amerikaanse marechaussee worden belast met het onderzoek, maar zij komen erachter dat iemand van hogerhand niet verguld is met hun speurwerk.
