The Mambo Kings (1992)
1952. De gebroeders Castillo en hun orkest zijn razend populair in Cuba. Nestor is verliefd op de mooie Maria en wil met haar trouwen. Ook clubeigenaar Luis heeft zijn zinnen op haar gezet. Hij is tot alles bereid om zijn rivaal uit te schakelen. Uit schrik voor Nestors leven trouwt Maria met Luis. Ze smeekt bovendien Nestor het land te verlaten. De broers vertrekken naar Amerika waar hun eerste optreden met hun eigen orkest een daverend succes wordt.
