Independents' Day (2017)
Vijandelijke buitenaardse wezens hebben de aarde veroverd en het hele nucleaire arsenaal vernietigd. De aliens geven mensen de keuze: óf ze emigreren vrijwillig en vestigen zich op een andere planeet, óf ze worden geëlimineerd. De meesten zijn bereid hun lot te aanvaarden. Alleen de president van de Verenigde Staten van Amerika wil de indringers bevechten en de waarheid achter hun hervestigingsplannen ontdekken voordat de hele mensheid ten onder gaat.
