Een technicus brengt een bevroren exemplaar van de originele Blob terug van de Noordpool. Wanneer zijn vrouw het ding per ongeluk ontdooit, terroriseert het de bevolking: de lokale hippies, politieagenten, dronkaards en bowlers moeten allemaal de Blob onder ogen zien!
