Nora (2000)
In 1904, in Dublin, raakt schrijver James Joyce aan de praat met de hotelmeid Nora Barnacle. Ze betovert hem met haar directe manier van praten en handelen. Al gauw kan hij haar ertoe overhalen met hem mee te reizen naar Trieste. Ze zal hem door zijn fobieën sleuren, zijn drankzucht tolereren, zijn broer Stan bij in huis nemen, kortom ze heeft meer last met hem dan ze ooit kon vermoeden. Maar zijn jaloezie zetten er haar uiteindelijk toch toe aan terug naar huis te keren, samen met hun kinderen.
