Johnny Eager (1941)
De gangster Johnny Eager wordt verliefd op de sociologiestudente Lisbeth Bard die zijn gevoelens hartstochtelijk beantwoordt. Als hij erachter komt dat ze de stiefdochter is van officier van justitie Farrell, die destijds de rechtszaak tegen hem in gang heeft gezet, begint hij zijn relatie met Lisbeth te misbruiken om wraak te nemen op Farrell.
