Siete mesas de billar francés (2007)
Het drama begint wanneer Angela en haar jonge zoon Guille vanuit het berglandschap naar Madrid vertrekken om Leo te bezoeken, Angela's vader en de grootvader van de jongen, die naar verluidt ernstig ziek is. Ter plekke komen ze er echter achter dat de man onlangs is overleden. Charo, Leo's minnaar, vertelt de familie vervolgens dat er niet veel meer over is van de zaak het overleden familielid. Gewoon een kleine biljartkamer met zeven tafels. En schulden die misschien wel afgelost zouden kunnen worden door de opbrengst van de verkoop van het casino. Angela, wier man onder vreemde omstandigheden verdween, ziet de situatie iets anders. Zij is van mening dat deze speelkamer, ondanks de aanzienlijke somberheid van de plek, de juiste springplank naar een nieuw leven zou kunnen zijn. En als ze weer op de been wil komen, moeten de pooltafels er blijven staan.
