Horroricoon Christopher Lee, die meerdere malen met Jess Franco samenwerkte, speelt Lord George Jeffreys, de beruchte en meedogenloze rechter en Lord Chancellor in Engeland, verscheurd door de strijd tussen de regerende koning James II en Willem van Oranje.
