The Lady in Black is een documentaire over Ann Van den Broek gemaakt door regisseur Lisa Boerstra. De film toert met Ann en haar dansers langs vele theaters, nieuwe creaties, fysieke uitputtingsslagen en zinderende passie. In alles intens. Regisseuse Lisa Boerstra volgde Ann ruim anderhalf jaar. Centraal staat het maakproces van de voorstelling The Black Piece, maar Boerstra reisde ook mee met de (inter)nationale tournees van Co(te)lette, I SOLO MENT, We Solo Men, The Red Piece en Q61 Cemetery. Na het zien van The Lady in Black is duidelijk hoe Ann als persoon en kunstenaar verweven is met haar choreografieën.
