Strangers in the Night (1944)
In dit gotische verhaal gaat een terugkerende dierenarts uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog op zoek naar een meisje uit een kleine stad dat hij alleen uit brieven kent. Het is het voorwendsel voor een ongebruikelijke behandeling van seksuele frustratie die verandert in een gevaarlijke waanvoorstelling en uiteindelijk moord.
