The Private Life of Henry VIII (1933)
Koning Henry VIII staat bekend om zijn excessen en ondergaat tijdens zijn bewind een reeks vrouwen. Nu Anne Boleyn, zijn tweede vrouw, wordt geëxecuteerd op beschuldiging van verraad, trouwt koning Henry met dienstmeisje Jane Seymour, maar dat huwelijk eindigt ook in een tragedie. De koning zal niet lang vrijgezel blijven. De koning kiest de in Duitsland geboren Anna van Kleef als zijn bruid, maar hun huwelijk duurt slechts enkele maanden voordat een nietigverklaring wordt verleend, en koning Hendrik zet zijn reeks echtgenoten voort.
