Voor de verlegen Michele was het niet gemakkelijk om weer terug te keren naar het normale leven na het ontdekken van zijn speciale gave: onzichtbaarheid. Inmiddels is hij zestien en heeft hij te maken met de typische problemen van een adolescent, zoals de moeilijke communicatie met volwassen en het eerste liefdesverdriet. Daarnaast moet hij om leren gaan met de enorme verantwoordelijkheid die zijn gave met zich meebrengt. Zijn leven zal echter snel veranderen door de komst van zijn biologische moeder Yelena en zijn mysterieuze tweelingzus Natasha, van wie hij het bestaan niet afwist.
