"Pimpernel" Smith (1941)
De excentrieke archeoloog Horatio Smith uit Cambridge neemt een groep Britse en Amerikaanse archeologiestudenten mee naar het vooroorlogse nazi-Duitsland om te helpen bij zijn opgravingen. Zijn onderzoek wordt gesteund door de nazi's, aangezien hij beweert op zoek te zijn naar bewijs van de Arische oorsprong van de Duitse beschaving. Hij heeft echter een geheime agenda: het bevrijden van gevangenen uit de concentratiekampen.
