Octane (2003)
Senga (Madeleine Stowe) is een gestresste en alleenstaande moeder die denkt dat haar ogen haar voor gek houden als ze langs een donkere, verlaten snelweg vreemde en onheilspellende dingen ziet. Maar dit blijkst slechts de aankondiging van een surrealistische nachtmerrie, die begint als haar rebellerende tienerdochter samen met een alternatieve lifter (Bijou Phillips) verdwijnt. Al gauw begint voor Senga een noodgedwongen, dolende zoektocht te midden van mysterieuze figuren die tijdens een stortbui langs de snelweg rondspoken op afgelegen feesten en griezelige chauffeurscafé's.
