The Hot Rock (1972)
De meesterdief Dortmunder (Robert Redford) is nog maar net buiten de gevangenispoort of hij wordt alweer benaderd door zijn zwager Kelp (George Segal) voor een nieuwe klus. Hij neemt hem mee naar Dr. Amusa (Moses Gunn), die namens zijn Afrikaanse volk een waardevolle diamant die in een museum ligt, terug wil laten stelen. Hij betaalt de onkosten en als de roof slaagt zal hij hen een flink geldbedrag uitkeren. Dortmunder bedenkt een ingewikkeld plan, maar het loopt allemaal niet zoals gepland...
