Sous le Sable (2001)
Marie Drillon is een aantrekkelijke, intelligente en onafhankelijke vrouw van middelbare leeftijd. Ze doceert Engelse literatuur aan de universiteit van Parijs en ze is al 25 jaar gelukkig getrouwd met Jean Drillon. Tijdens hun vakantie in het zuiden van Frankrijk gaat Jean zwemmen in zee. Wanneer hij na lange tijd nog altijd niet terug is, wordt Marie ongerust. Wat is er gebeurd? Is Jean verdronken? Heeft hij zelfmoord gepleegd? Heeft hij Marie in de steek gelaten voor iemand anders? Door deze traumatische ervaring raakt Marie psychologisch helemaal ontredderd. Terug thuis doet Marie net alsof er niets gebeurd is en Jean nog steeds bij haar is.
