The Sugarland Express (1974)
Lou-Jean, een blonde vrouw, vertelt haar man, die in de gevangenis zit, dat hij moet ontsnappen. Ze beraden het plan om hun eigen kind te kidnappen, die in huis woont bij een pleeggezin. De ontsnapping is succesvol, maar tijdens hun ontsnapping worden ze door Texas heen achtervolgd door het politiekorps.
