American Gothic (1987)
Als zes vrienden op een weekendje weg vliegen en plotseling last krijgen van motorpech, worden ze gedwongen op een afgelegen eiland te landen. Op zoek naar onderdak zijn ze dankbaar dat ze Ma en Pa en hun kinderen tegenkomen: een excentrieke familie die in het achterland van het eiland woont. Maar wat begint als eenvoudige gastvrijheid, verandert in een angstaanjagende race om te overleven als de vrienden een voor een verdwijnen... en dood blijken te zijn.
