The Sound Barrier (1952)
Tony is een succesvolle jagerpiloot in WOII. Na de oorlog trouwt hij met Susan, de dochter van de rijke oliemagnaat John Ridgefield. John ontwerpt ook vliegtuigen en is geobsedeerd door het idee dat zijn bedrijf als eerste de geluidsbarrière zal doorbreken.
