Hitting Home (1988)
De Canadese zakenvrouw Dinah Middleton is er kapot van als haar tienerzoon Alex wordt gedood door een chauffeur die vlucht misdrijf pleegt. Als de politie geen verdachten vind, schakelt ze een privédetective in om de moordenaar op te sporen. Ze traceert de moordenaar naar New York, maar ontdekt dat de misdaad niet valt onder het uitleveringsverdrag tussen Canada en de VS. Ze raakt geobsedeerd door het voor het gerecht brengen van de misdadiger.
