Meneer Pest heeft zin in een avondje uit en besluit naar het theater te gaan. Hij heeft een stoel op de tweede rij, maar dat bevalt hem niet. Hij klimt naar de voorste rij, maar wordt gecorrigeerd door de orkestleider.
