Singapore (1947)
Na de oorlog keert Matt Gordon terug naar Singapore om een fortuin aan gesmokkelde parels op te halen. Eenmaal aangekomen herinnert hij zich in flashbacks dat zijn vooroorlogse verloofde Linda verleidde en haar verdwijning tijdens de Japanse aanval. Maar nu duikt Linda weer op... met geheugenverlies en getrouwd met de rijke planter Van Leyden. Ondertussen is het sinistere hek Mauribus van plan Matts parels te bemachtigen.
