Tenor Javier Camarena en sopraan Pretty Yende bundelen hun krachten voor een feest van belcanto-vocaal vuurwerk – inclusief de adembenemende tenoraria "Ah! Mes amis", met zijn negen hoge c's. Alessandro Corbelli en Maurizio Muraro wisselen elkaar af als de komische sergeant Sulpice, met mezzosopraan Stephanie Blythe als de excentrieke markiezin van Berkenfield. Enrique Mazzola dirigeert.
