Maar wie was de echte John DeLorean? Voor sommigen was hij een visionaire afvallige die een revolutie teweegbracht in de auto-industrie. Voor anderen was hij de ultieme oplichter. Voor de eerste keer vertelt “Framing John DeLorean” het buitengewone leven en de legende van de controversiële autofabrikant, door zijn snelle opkomst door de gelederen van General Motors te volgen, zijn obsessieve zoektocht om een sportwagen te bouwen die de wereld zou veroveren, en het uit de gratie vallen na beschuldiging van cocaïnesmokkel.
