The Sunset Limited (2011)
Gesitueerd in een New Yorks huurappartement richt het verhaal zich op twee zeer verschillende mannen. De zwaar religieuze zwarte ex-gevangene (Samuel L. Jackson) dwarsboomt de zelfmoordpoging van een asociale blanke professor (Tommy Lee Jones) die zichzelf voor de aanstormende metrotrein 'The Sunset Limited' probeerde te gooien. Terwijl de ene man contact probeert te maken op een rationeel, spiritueel en emotioneel niveau, blijft de andere standvastig in zijn zuurverdiende wanhoop steken. Opgesloten in een filosofisch debat verdedigen beide mannen hun persoonlijke credo en proberen ze de ander daarvan te overtuigen.
