Yoram, een 50-jarige dierenarts uit Tel-Aviv, wordt gedwongen zijn relatie met zijn puberdochter Roni opnieuw te onderzoeken, nadat ze een einde aan haar leven wil maken. Hij besluit haar mee te nemen op een reis om de familie van haar moeder te bezoeken, een proces van zelf- en wederzijdse ontdekking in een oerwoestijnland rond de Dode Zee.
