This World, Then the Fireworks (1997)
Als kinderen zijn Marty en Carol er getuige van hoe hun vader op beestachtige wijze de minnaar van hun moeder vermoordde. Door deze psychologische klap hebben zij een eigen wereld opgebouwd, waar niemand in toe wordt gelaten. Zelfs hun moeder niet. Om zich te beschermen tegen al het 'kwaad' van de wereld, wordt iedereen die te dicht bij hen in de buurt komt dan ook vakkundig weggewerkt. Het spel wat zij spelen is een dodelijke en wanneer de politie een verband begint te leggen tussen de moorden, begint hun wereld langzaam maar zeker af te brokkelen.
