The Last of the High Kings (1996)
Het is 1977, Dublin rockt op de muziek van Thin Lizzy en de wereld wordt opgeschrikt door het overlijden van Elvis Presley. Frankie, gevangen tussen acne en volwassenheid, heeft net zijn eindexamen op school afgerond. Ervan overtuigd dat hij zal falen, overleeft hij de zomer door een strandfeest te organiseren, wellustige gedachten te hebben over twee meisjes waarvan hij denkt dat ze onbereikbaar zijn en de avances van een bezoekende Amerikaanse familievriend af te weren, terwijl hij omgaat met zijn excentrieke familie.
