Charlotte for Ever (1986)
Ooit een succesvolle Hollywood-scenarioschrijver, is Stan nu een depressieve alcoholist die het grootste deel van zijn tijd doorbrengt met lummelen in zijn huis terwijl hij zijn problemen aan zijn drinkpartner uitstort. Het enige dat hem op de been houdt is zijn liefde voor zijn tienerdochter Charlotte, maar ze veracht hem en gelooft dat hij verantwoordelijk is voor het ongeluk waarbij haar moeder om het leven kwam.
