Ma and Pa Kettle (1949)
De Kettles en hun vijftien kinderen staan op het punt uit hun vervallen, rustieke huis te worden gezet als Pa de hoofdprijs wint door een nieuwe tabaksslogan te bedenken. Birdie Hicks is jaloers op de nieuwe rijkdom van de familie, waaronder een volledig geautomatiseerd modern huis, en beschuldigt Pa ervan de slogan te hebben gestolen. Verslaggever Kim Parker bewijst dat Birdie ongelijk heeft en trouwt met Tom Kettle.
