The Longest Wave (2019)
De voor een Oscar genomineerde filmmaker Joe Berlinger reist de wereld rond met de legendarische windsurfer en baanbrekende watersporter Robby Naish, een 24-voudig wereldkampioen wiens zoektocht naar de beheersing van 's werelds langste golven onverwacht zijn kwetsbaarheden als concurrent, mentor en vader blootlegt. THE LONGEST WAVE overstijgt het actiesportgenre door de obstakels buiten het professionele leven van de legendarische atleet vast te leggen in een intieme, cinéma-vérité-stijl, en laat zien hoe Naish de zoektocht naar uitmuntendheid op zee in balans brengt met de eisen van het leven op het land.
