Juliette en Carmen, twee onverschrokken zussen van 4 en 8 jaar oud, ontdekken een geheime doorgang naar The Kingdom of Air Currents, hun favoriete boek. Omgevormd tot katten en van elkaar gescheiden, zullen ze lef moeten tonen en elkaar opnieuw moeten durven vinden. Met de hulp van zangeres Selma zullen ze proberen de echte wereld te bereiken door de confrontatie aan te gaan met Sirocco, de meester van wind en stormen... Maar is hij zo angstaanjagend als ze zich voorstellen?
