True Things (2022)
In het rustige kustplaatsje Ramsgate wordt de wereld van Kate op zijn kop gezet door een toevallige blik van een brutale man met geverfd blond haar. Hij is net ontslagen uit een gevangenisstraf voor kleine vergrijpen. Met al zijn zelfvertrouwen en charme verleidt hij Kate op een parkeerplaats. Kate's gedachten worden de weken erna totaal beheerst door deze bedwelmende verliefdheid. Kate geeft zich over aan lust in de hoop om intimiteit te vinden – tevergeefs. Ondertussen laat haar minnaar steeds minder vaak van zich horen en verdwijnt hij langzaam uit zicht. Maar Kate kan zijn geur, zijn aanraking niet vergeten.
