劇場版 灼眼のシャナ (2007)
Sakai Yuji is eigenlijk een normale student als hij midden in een winkelstraat merkt dat de tijd heeft stilgestaan. Plots verschijnen er twee monsters die de mensen letterlijk opeten. Wanneer hij het volgende slachtoffer zou moeten zijn, verschijnt er plotseling een meisje met vlammend rood haar. Ze maakt korte metten met de monsters en alles lijkt weer normaal te zijn. Maar dan legt ze hem uit dat hij "stierf" aan deze aanval. Maar dankzij een hem onbekende gave blijft hij in de wereld. Het meisje noemt zichzelf "Flame Haze". Yuji geeft haar de naam "Shana" en zo raken ze langzaam bevriend (maar ook met meer tegenzin van Shana). Dit is hoe het begint... het eerste avontuur van Shana en Yuji.
