The Hunter (2011)
Tasmanië. Lange tijd dacht men dat de Tasmaanse tijger was uitgestorven totdat hij gespot wordt. De buidelwolf speelt tot de verbeelding van de lokale bevolking en roept de interesse op van dubieuze buitenstaanders. Eén daarvan is Martin, die de opdracht krijgt het beest te vinden voor een biotechnologisch bedrijf. Wat begint als een zakelijk aanbod krijgt echter mythische aspecten wanneer Martin's zoektocht een obsessie wordt. Een zoektocht niet voor de ultieme winst, maar voor de essentie van het leven dat vernietigd wordt door de technologie.
